Christmas Home Decor Inspiration With Trudi Harrison

"Christmas Angel"

Hi Everyone,
Trudi back with you today sharing some more 2Crafty Chipboard happiness.
With Christmas fast approaching, I thought I would get into the festive spirit and create
an angel topper.  With a touch of shabby chic, she would look quite lovely sitting on the
tree or as table centre piece. I really like how 2Crafty chipboard is really quite adaptable
for adding decorative accents to my off the page projects.

The body of the angel was created from patterned paper and a touch of softness to the
angels dress was added with a paper doily, tulle and ribbon.
Cassie's Flourishes create the wings and were painted with metallic gold accents. A light
dusting of super fine crystal glitter was sprinkled whilst the media was still wet.

The head/face of the angel was framed with the smallest clock frame from the 6" Clock Face Frames.  An Ornate Buckle was cut in half and one piece adhered to the back to create 'hair'.

The other Ornate Buckle piece was attached at the front of the angel's skirt along
with a Hanging Beaded Heart.

A Christmas Decorative Ornament Border was also trimmed into pieces.  The Holly
element sitting over the middle of the bow with a hanging piece attached underneath.

Next I have an altered project to share with you.  The deer and sleigh were
picked up at a discount store and have been given a makeover.

"Altered Deer and Sleigh"

A Holly Vine Flourish was added to the floral embellishment.  The flourish was painted
with gold metallic paint with accents of Colour Blast Leather Embossing Powder.
A smaller Circle Dot Frame sits around the neck of the deer.

A Chain Length has been wrapped around the belly of the deer with an
 Ornate Buckle affixed over top.

A layered chipboard flower was made from 2 different sizes of Spiral Snowflakes.
The tips of the snowflakes were bent upwards.

A Leafy Shrub Flourish was tucked into the floral embellishment at the back of the sleigh.
Pieces from a trimmed down Holly Wreath were also added.

The bottom hanging piece from the Delicate Ornament hangs from the bottom of the
large flower. A trimmed bauble element from the Mini Christmas Baubles hangs
from the floral cluster around the neck of the deer.

word-we are family

I was thinking when I started this layout I wanted it  to be really girly
so I chose the colour pink, yellow and grey with the greens of the leaves
and lots of bling.

Here is my process video of my layout.

I inked the frames with pink ink and took out the centers.

I made my own little crape paper embellishment with a punched glitter heart
in the center for my title to sit on and I inked my title with gold.

Here is a whole view of my frame with bling.
I inked with light pink ink.

I added the key under a punched glitter heart
I inked it gold.

Here is the other frame I inked light pink and added a little banner in the middle.

December Inspiration by Catherine Giguère

"A Christmas Tradition"

Hello 2 Crafty fans!
Catherine here with you today to share two new layouts that I hope will inspire you. This is my last post as a 2 Crafty Design Team member. The time has come to leave this beautiful team that I love so much to meet new challenges.

Of course, my first layout is a Christmas one. Every year, my children and I are going to visit Santa Claus and, of course, I always take several pictures of this event. This is our Christmas tradition. For this layout, I used 'Blitzen' chipboard that I embossed with silver powder to goes with my paper.

Of course, I choose the title 'A Christmas Tradition'  that I embossed in black to make it stand out. I put it in part on my picture. Under it, I used a star stencil with black modeling paste to add dimension on my background.

I also embossed my 'Holly Flourish' in silver to match my paper and add silver details.

'Pretty as a Picture'

My second layout isn't a Christmas one, but I love it! For this one, I did a textured background with stencil, modeling paste, violet and brown inks and some stamps with brown Archival ink.

I embossed my title 'Pretty As A Picture' and my 'Moroccan Bits' with oatmeal embossing powder.

Then, I embossed with garnet embossing powder my 'Frame Oval Ornate' to frame my picture.

December projects + Video by Valerie Ouellet

"Christmas Tag"

Hello 2Crafty fans!
Here is my last 2 projects with 2Crafty team. I hope to have inspired you during this year and a half.
I had a lot of fun creating with these wonderful chipboards. Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity. You can keep following me on my blog if you want.

Now, here is a Christmas tag with "Swirly Star Border" that I embossed in white. I added several stars of "ATC tiny hearts&stars" decorated with Ranger enamel accent.

I love the chipboard "Deer head set". It's one of my favorite one. I just embossed one of the head with black embossing powder. I like the dramatic effect.

"Magic card"

I have made a VIDEO TUTORIAL

Now, here is a Christmas Card, very simple but very beautiful. I used a wonderful piece "Chloe's Vines". I embossed in white before painting it with 13arts paint. I love the imperfect look.

I embossed in white the word magic on "Christmas mini word set 2".

I also added stars painted with Ranger Enamel Accent.
